Hello! I’m Anthony ‘Happy’ Kotowicz — a Sydney-based character and mascot illustrator with a background in illustration, animation and graphic design.
A lifelong obsession with animation, comics, and artistic storytelling has helped me create characters since I could hold a pencil. I create 100% original, hand-drawn illustrations.
No AI used. Ever.
My style is inspired by classic 2D animation — clean lines, vibrant colours, exaggerated expressions — creating characters that feel alive. I work with brands, businesses, and individuals who want illustrations with genuine personality, love and warmth, rather than generic, off-the-shelf or ‘clip’ art.
By day, I use my hands to build campervans. By night, I use my hands to fight injustice as the mighty superher— er, um, I mean, I like to draw…

Costs are individualised, project-based, and take into consideration the details, requirements and complexity of your request, eg. head only or full-body character; animal, monster or human…, etc.
Quotes are provided after contact / request has been made and details have been shared. All prices are in AUD and exclude GST unless otherwise stated.

Please Note:
Deposit requirement: a 50% non-refundable up-front deposit is required before commencement of work.
Rushed work: Please allow 2-3 weeks for completed work. An additional 25% is required for work required in under one week.
Revision Policy: 2x rounds of revisions are included in the initial fee. Additional revisions are charged at an hourly rate of $77, depending on complexity.
Total costs, incl. GST provided on final invoice.

Anthony created the most thoughtful and original commissioned artwork for our dear friend’s son’s first birthday. He took the time to truly understand what we were hoping for and worked seamlessly within our budget, making the whole process feel collaborative and easy.
He gathered the most incredible details; little “Easter eggs” from their son’s first year, and wove them into a custom magazine cover that felt both personal and magical. By the end, there were dozens of heartfelt touches hidden throughout the artwork, each one capturing a moment of joy, laughter, and memory.
